Michael brings a diverse finance and accounting background and over 10 years of commercial real estate valuation experience to the US Solar Value team. His work has included the appraisal of affordable housing communities participating in the Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) program and the Freddie Mac Green Advantage program. Michael has participated in various courses and events focused on sustainability and renewable energy offered by the US Green Building Council and Urban Land Institute and continues to expand his knowledge in solar valuation through courses offered by the Appraisal Institute and Novogradac, among other providers. Qualifications

Senior Appraiser, Philadelphia, PA (2023 – Present).

Michael Ramos is a Senior Appraiser at US Solar Value and founder of Mission Valuation. He brings a diverse finance and accounting background and over 10 years of commercial real estate valuation experience to the US Solar Value team.

Michael comes to US Solar Value from Butler Burgher Group (BBG) where he was Director of the Philadelphia office and a member of BBG’s affordable housing practice. During his tenure at BBG, Michael completed appraisals of affordable housing communities including properties participating in the Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) program. Other areas of expertise include market rate multi-family, urban mixed-use assets, industrial buildings, neighborhood retail, and vacant land. In addition to appraisals, Michael has completed numerous consulting engagements, focusing primarily on market studies for multi-family assets. His clients have included national and regional banks, credit unions, agency lenders, life insurance companies, investors, developers, pension fund advisors, and law firms. He has assisted them with, or performed on their behalf, valuations for financing, equity participation, financial reporting, tax appeal, and due diligence support.

Michael has participated in various courses and events focused on sustainability and renewable energy offered by the US Green Building Council and Urban Land Institute and continues to expand his knowledge in solar valuation through courses offered by the Appraisal Institute and Novogradac, among other providers.

Actively engaged in real estate valuation since 2014, Michael began his appraisal career in the Philadelphia office of Integra Realty Resources (IRR), which transitioned to Newmark in 2017. In 2018 he joined Butler Burgher Group (BBG) as Director of the Philadelphia office. Prior to real estate valuation, Michael gained relevant experience as a property manager with Tri-Star Equities in New York City. He has also worked in the mutual fund accounting department at State Street Bank in Boston.
